Acting governor of Adamawa State, Alhaji Ahmad Umaru, on Wednesday appointed Professor Liman Tukur as the new secretary to the state government.

Speaking shortly after the ceremony, the acting governor said Tukur’s appointment was based on his record of performances.

“The wind of change which has started blowing in the state will not be complete without people like Tukur,” he said.

“We thank God that today we are in charge of the affairs of the state and with the support of the people of the state, we are going to deliver.”
