Amosun fires commissioner over ‘misconduct’

Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun state governor, has approved the immediate removal of Ebenezer Olubena, commissioner IV in the state civil service commission.

Taiwo Adeoluwa, secretary to the state government, disclosed this on Wednesday, saying Olubena was disengaged over acts of “misconduct”.

Adeoluwa said the removal is in accordance with extant laws.

Olubena was directed to hand over all government property and documents in his possession to the permanent secretary at the commission.

“Consequent upon this, Mr Olubena is hereby directed to hand over all government property and documents in his possession to the permanent secretary at the commission immediately,” Adeoluwa said in a statement.
