The City Boy Movement, a group in the All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced plans to feed 100,000 families during Ramadan.

The group flagged off the food distribution initiative in Abuja on Saturday.

The project aims to support Muslims nationwide during Ramadan by providing food items that can feed a family of four for seven days.

Speaking at the event, Ademuyiwa Adebola, the group’s representative, said the initiative will complement the government’s effort to address the pervasive economic hardship.

“As we stand by our president who is making the bold steps to take Nigeria to prosperity, the Nigeria project is not for the president alone. So, we must all do our parts, however we can,” Adebola said.

The group said the project is supported by the senior special assistants (SSAs) to President Bola Tinubu on community engagement, who will drive the distribution of the food items in their respective geopolitical zones.

The special assistants are — Abdullahi Yakasai (north-west), Chioma Nweze (south-east), Moremi Ojudu (south-west), Abdulhamid Abba (north-east), and Gift Johnbull (south-south).
