Bayero university suspends exams, academic activities over NLC, TUC strike
Authorities of Bayero University Kano (BUK) have suspended the ongoing 2022/2023 first semester examinations, and all other academic activities, until further notice.
This was disclosed through a statement issued by Amina Abdullahi, the acting registrar of the institution, on Tuesday night.
The development is sequel to the nationwide strike called by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) over the alleged assault of Joe Ajaero, NLC president, on November 1 in Imo state.
The statement advised all students to remain calm and wait for further directives from the management.
“It should be noted that the ongoing examinations are halfway through and as soon as the strike is over, the exams will continue,” the statement reads.
