9 killed, 10 injured in fresh B’Haram attack

Nine persons were killed in Mailari village in Konduga local government area of Borno state during an attack by suspected members of the Boko Haram sect on Sunday.

Aderemi Opadokun, the state commissioner of police, confirmed the attack to journalists in Maiduguri, capital of the state.

“Today Sept. 27, 2015 suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked Mailari village in Konduga LGA,” he said.

“Nine persons were reported killed while 10 were injured. The injured victims are now being treated at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.”

Opadokun said security had already been beefed up in the village and that investigation into the incident had begun.

Borno has suffered repeated attacks from Boko Haram.
