Buhari receives briefing from Osinbajo after return from UK

President Muhammadu Buhari has received a briefing from Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo at the state house, Abuja, after returning from London, United Kingdom.

The meeting is coming four days after he came back from his trip.

On March 30, the president had travelled to the UK for what the presidency described as a “routine medical check-up”.

In a letter to Abdullah ll Bin Al-Hussein, the king of Jordan, the president later said he was taking a “short rest”.

During his short stay abroad, a series of notable events ranging from strikes by unions to insecurity issues took place in various parts of the country.

After the meeting with the vice-president, Buhari hosted Mohammed Bozoum, president of Niger Republic.

The Nigerien president, who assumed office on April 3, is on a “thank you” visit to Nigeria.
