Buhari’s pilot is an Igbo man — beat that!
In 1981, US President Ronald Reagan, of the Republican party, was shot outside a hotel. After the failed assassination attempt, he had to undergo a surgery to remove pellets from his body.
As he lay on the operating table about to be sedated, he joked to the doctors: “Please tell me you’re all Republicans.” Joseph Giordano, the surgeon and a Democrat, replied: “We’re all Republicans today.”
So much for sleeping with the enemy!
President Muhammadu Buhari has been described as an ethnic chauvinist and religious bigot and he has always denied. He has obviously not enjoyed the best of relationships with the Igbo since he came to office two and a half years ago because of his perceived bias against them.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo once rose in defence of Buhari, saying his driver for 25 years and his cook are both Christians.
On Friday, Lauretta Onochie, personal assistant to the president on social media, dropped a piece of information.
Wait for it…
Buhari’s pilot is an IGBO man! And a Christian for that matter!
For the “bigot” that he is, the man who “holds Buhari’s life” after God in the open skies is an Igbo man.
“Captain Chinyelu Chizoba Ndubuisi is the Pilot of Airforce 001, the aircraft that takes @NGRPresident, @MBuhari on travels, locally and international,” she tweeted.
“Yes, Captain Ndubisi is his pilot. For those who only remember Geography & skewed religious knowledge lessons, work out the rest.”

Of course, Nigerians being very attentive and interactive people, have criticised Onochie’s post.
DISCLOSING CLASSIFIED INFORMATION
Some have accused Onochie of disclosing classified information.
I am only wondering did we really need to know his name or his identity? Shouldn't this be classified information?

Perhaps, now that the world knows who flies the president, attempts would be made to get to him through Ndubuisi.
NO BIG DEAL
While some have appraised the president for looking beyond ethnic sentiments in his choice of staff, others are of the opinion that there is really nothing special in Buhari having an Igbo man as his pilot.
