Online shopping platform Konga.com is partnering the fashion line of Agbani Darego, onetime Miss World, in a bid to build up its fashion category profile.

Darego, who became the first black woman from Africa to win the Miss World pageant in 2001, has gone on to become a renowned fashion icon, launching a fashion line known as AD.

The fashion line embraces luxurious and chic aesthetics that are affordable, with cuts and styles flattering to a range of body types and silhouettes.

“The partnership follows the company’s commitment to providing shoppers on the site with more contemporary high-end brands at great prices,” Olatomiwa Akande, Konga’s head of public relations and brand management, said.

“Konga.com already has thousands of quality fashion items on the site, but the recent addition of the AD brand signals that we are stepping up our game where fashion is concerned.”

Darego also spoke on the partnership, saying her fashion line caters to the ease required for personal style at an affordable rate.

“We are excited to add Konga.com to our growing list of stockists,” she said.

“With Konga.com we have opened up the brand to a larger base of customers who want a piece from AD by Agbani Darego in their closets.”

AD produces a variety of stylish pieces ranging from clothing items: jeans, dresses, shirts, trousers to trendy footwear and accessories including handbags, sunglasses and shoes.

Konga.com was founded by Nigerian entrepreneur, Sin Shagaya, in 2012.
