In a post via his X page, the singer said he loves the effect of his presence in the music industry.

“Since I came in the game dem never get peace, I love it! Make I find somewhere with beach go relax,” he wrote in pidgin English.

Davido’s post was shared about the same time when Wizkid, his colleague, taunted him with a video of the ‘Assurance’ hitmaker on his knees, pleading and crying after a fan asked him to release new music.

In 2020, Davido had warned that if Burna Boy and Wizkid teamed up against him, it wouldn’t work.

“Nobody will gang up against me such that it would work. It hurts me sometimes. I’ve tried with Burna but how long will I keep doing that? It’s either you don’t like me or… I‘m saying this now,” he said.

“Let’s all come together. But they won’t respond. With ‘Fem’, I just had to. If he replies, I’ll like it.”

In 2011, Davido released his first single ‘Back When’, a song from his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (2012).
