Dokubo issues fresh threat, says Yoruba, Hausa united against Biafra, Niger Delta

Dokubo issues fresh threat, says Yoruba, Hausa united against Biafra, Niger Delta
April 01
15:36 2015

Mujahid Asari Dokubo, an ex-militant who threatened to unleash violence on the country if President Goodluck Jonathan lost his re-election bid, has threatened a return “to the creeks” and accused the Yoruba and Hausa of working against Igbo and Niger Deltans.

He denied saying he was in support of any government in power, despite a tweet on his handle, @asaridokubo, on Tuesday.

He did not disown the handle but said he was yet to congratulate any winner of the presidential and parliamentary elections.

He said the election of Muhammadu Buhari as president “is a clear indication that the country is not united” and accused the Yoruba and Hausa of collaborating to frustrate Jonathan, who hails from the Niger Delta region.

“Nigerian union clearly reinforces the fact of self determination and that Nigeria remains a very divided and separated entity whose claim to unity remains a fraud of gargantuan proportion,” Dokubo said in a statement issued on his behalf by Rex Ekiugbo Anighoro, his spokesman.

“The celebrated victory of Buhari is not the victory of the people but victory of regional conspiracy and supremacy. The voting Partern has clearly shown that the Gambari North and the Yorubas are United in the conquest of the Niger Deltans and the Igbos of defunct Biafra with the middle belt now used as pawns.

“The victory of Muhammadu Buhari is a historical reminder that we are a conquered people who are mere appendages existing at the pleasure of the supremacist and the regional overlords.

“We remain a people separated by our ideologies and interests, we are not integrated nor reconciled.”

He alleged that the incoming government could attempt to undermine the interest of the Niger Delta and called for a return to the creeks.

“The conditions that advanced the need to embrace the creeks have been sadly re energised, it is clear that a vicious government who may maim and murder the voice of the so called minorities may have just been birthed,” he said.

“Indeed integration is nonexistent as regional gang ups and supremacy is symbolic with this victory.

“While President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan enjoys his moments and bask in the euphoria of a now world renowned statesman having congratulated Muhammadu Buhari his conqueror, we must quickly remind that our struggle was never about Jonathan nor about presidency.

“President Goodluck Jonathan was an establishment beneficiary of our struggle, our sweat and blood that many bled and died for,  he was never in the struggle and he can never wish away our collective march forward for statesmanship. Yes Indeed to an extent he was a  mitigating factor in self determination pursuit as we went on sabbatical, this mitigation he seem to have willingly repudiated.

“The days coming will be critical, we shall study all the conditions and consult widely before determining the way going forward for our collective existence and survival as a people. The days coming shall either drive the quest of integration or further separate us.”

I can not see peace in this country unless we do the right thing of restructuring and a very true federalism.
We need to act fast to avoid any bloody revolution. Nigerian elders should rise up and prevail on the North to accept true federalism before our country explode!

I salute the courage of Asari Dokubo. He said it all. There must be a limit to majoritarian population supremacy over other nationalities. Prof Jega’s INEC rigged out Presd Jonathan because he is of minority tribe. Check out Jega’s PVC distribution and denials. Check out widespread under-age voting in seven States of the core north. Check out lopsided application of voting rules particularly the card readers. If GEJ could wait for 35 minutes to be electronically accredited, how come 2.5million voters got accreditation in Kano in five hours? How come 1.5million got accreditation in Katsina in five hours? Were they accredited with card readers or through manual and extra manual accreditation?

Asari is confusing a threat to his easy pickings as a government-pampered insurgent to a threat to the entirety of the southern end of Nigeria.
My advise to Nigerians: ignore him. He is no more than a comical loudmouth. The people he speaks of know how to right the Nigerian equation and that as the Confab suggests is to push for more decentralization. Believe me, just as it has been possible to throw out the PDP, Nigerians will ultimately achieve the decentralization that will douse the mad rush and deadly scramble for power at the crntre.

Is he not a Nigerian? .. The hatred is just too much….

Stop this threat now, The best to do is to mobilize our people for elections ahead. We can cause a change with our votes when we don’t want a particular candidate. Only Bayelsa alone can challenge kano’s voters result. Just that our people are not interested about politics.
Lets go back to our table and strategize with our vote ahead of 2019….

Jonathan acceptance of defeat has not saved Nigeria from impending doom because of the hatred of the North on the south even with the sacrifices of the South. There is a day for everything, a very little thing may trigger it… If people from the west and North contributing to Asari’s speech are still this sentimental about the truth… It supports the fact that Nigeria sits on time bomb… We are watching and waiting…

What is it. The question we must ask this creek man who wants to shed innocent blood is that how have the masses in the Niger delta benefited from the opportunity they had woth Jonathan. Are there more schools, free healthcare, adequate and transparent compensation by the IOCs contaminating their waters etc. Even Jonathan admitted he did not do much for his own people rather he was giving contracts to militants. The igbos give up their chances to be at the helm by claiming Jonathan was representing them…2nd Niger bridge still a mirage. Look globally oil prices are falling and the future does not look so bright elfor oil either so diversification most be embarrassed whether we like it or not. This nation is greater than any ethnic groups. If Jonathan did well do you honestly think Buhari would have the chance. Please let’s move on. Welcome to a new Nigeria

Isn’t it astonishing that Niger and Chad are each bigger than Nigeria in terms of land mass. The people in these countries are ethnically related to the people in Northern Nigeria, they share several similarities in terms of their culture, dwelling, ancestry, religion and lifestyle. Yet the population of each of these countries is about 20 million people. Even Sudan with twice the land mass of Nigeria has a population of 40 million people. Cameroon with half the land mass of Nigeria has 20 million people, yet people somehow want to justify to others that Northern Nigeria has a greater population than Niger, Chad, Sudan and Cameroun put together. The earlier people realised that corruption, deceit and ethnic bigotry in Nigeria is about to turn Nigeria to a worse version of Somalia, the better for it’s doomed citizens.

Surprised?, NO!. expected yes….our brothers in the south south and south east should punch their calcutors. GEJ gets 70 to 80% of APC Votes in southwestern states, it was a close contest.
Moreso there are as many ethnic groups in north central just as we have it in niger delta, nt central are nt all hausas, d kagors, nupes, jakun etc all voted in this election. Ironically the ethnic consideration was much stronger in the south south and south east, except for Imo GMB did nt get an 100k votes in these regions.
Finally democracy is about pples choice, let enjoy it nigerians.
