Goals from Mfon Udoh and Azubuike Egwuekwe earned the Super Eagles B team a 2-0 win over Yemen at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai.

FIFA ranking don’t lie as 176th ranked Yemen couldn’t withstand the onslaught from Nigeria who are 43 in the monthly ranking by the world football governing body.

It was a stroll in the park for Nigeria who were initially meant to play Sudan before the country withdrew from the game.

Udoh, the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) top scorer put his side ahead in the 25th minute in a game stand-in coach Daniel Amokachi was hell-bent on winning after the 1-0 loss to Cote d’Ivoire in their previous game.

The two teams came out strong in the second half but it was the Eagles who got a two-goal cushion.

Egwuekwe put the game beyond the reach of Yemen with a 64th minute strike to secure a much-needed win for Amokachi and his side.
