Father, son-in-law battle for same seat in Kwara assembly

Musa Nuha-Seriki and Ahmed Muhammed, his son-in-law, are currently battling to win the Kaima/Kemanji/Wajibe seat in the Kwara state house of assembly.

While Nuha-Seriki is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Muhammed the biological father of Nuha-Seriki’s wife is of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PDP candidate told NAN that his relationship with the APC candidate was personal and wished it was treated as such.

He noted that everybody in Kaima was related, adding that their relationship should not be dragged into politics.

Nuha-Seriki pledged to bring a new lease of life to the people of the constituency, if elected.

He also said that as a former chairman of Kaima local government area, he would stand on the side of autonomy for local governments anytime the issue was brought up.
