Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, has reconciled with Temitope Aluko, former secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who made startling allegations about the 2014 governorship election.

Lere Olayinka, special assistant to the governor on public communications and new media, posted a video of a meeting between both men in Lagos.

In the video, Fayose said: “I’m the father of all, for whatever that happened, I’m the father and I should accommodate everybody.

“Aluko remains my boy, my son. “I am his father; I am his brother. The past is behind us. Aluko remains my boy, my son. Whatever he said in public in the past is gone. It’s time to move on.”

Responding, Aluko said he was glad to reunite with the governor, revealing that he decided to let go of the past in the interest of peace.

“This is about peace, this is about understanding. This is about coming together. This is about family coming together after well-meaning Nigerians stepped in.”

Aluko had claimed that former President Goodluck Jonathan released $37 million to Fayose for the election. He said he attended two meetings at Aso Rock, where top PDP chieftains strategised on how to win the election.

Aluko also alleged that the federal government sent 44 special strike teams, consisting of security men who harassed top members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the election.

The Ekiti state government had procured a bench warrant for his arrest, saying Aluko, who testified in favour of Fayose from the tribunal to the supreme court, committed perjury when he later said the election was rigged.

The department of state services (DSS) also picked him up and released him after keeping him in custody for weeks.

If you can convince them confuse them is the principle that Fayose follows. If what Aluko revealed is not factual. Fayose that I know cannot decend so low to have a meeting of reconciliation with Aluko. The Satanic method Fayose want to employ now is attract to attack. Aluko has proved not to wise after all.

Interesting times indeed. This must be the 9th wonder of the world. Reconciliation my foot. These guys have just lost their minds. These are robbers and looters having a filled day.

Ekiti, ”e de ro nu”. I can’t believe that in my own time, the Ekiti I grew up to know have become so docile, morally bankrupt and inconceivability hands down in allowing day light robbers on parole.

Shame, shame and shame if this is allowed. Both This Tope Aluko joker and the so called Governor should be in jail. This is so sad.
