FCT minister’s spokesman, Ogbuenyi, shot by robbers

Nosike Ogbuenyi, the special assistant on media to Bala Mohammed, the minister of the federal capital territory(FCT), was shot by robbers at the Dantata overhead bridge along Umaru Musa Yar’adua expressway on Christmas Eve.
According to Mohammed Sule, chief press secretary to the FCT minister who confirmed the incident to TheCable, the robbers shot Ogbuenyi in the thigh at a close range.
“It happened about 7:30 pm on December 24,” he said.
“The robbers snatched his official car, his phones, a laptop and other items in the car.”

Ogbuenyi, who was political editor of ThisDay before joining the FCT administration as special assistant on media to the minister, is now recuperating in the hospital.
