FULL LIST: Solape Hammond, Aramide Adeyoye dropped as Lagos commissioner-nominees
On Monday, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, sent a second list of commissioner-nominees to the state house of assembly for screening and confirmation.
The state assembly had declined to confirm 17 out of 39 commissioner-nominees recommended by the governor in the first list sent to the house on August 23.
But on Monday, Mudashiru Obasa, speaker of the house, announced the receipt of the nominees list at the plenary.
He called on the committee that handled the first list to take responsibility for reviewing the new nominees, adding that the panel has until September 9 to report back to the house
A check through the new list shows that Gbenga Omotoso, Akin Abayomi, Cecilia Dada, Olalere Odusote, Folashade Ambrose, Sam Egube, Yomi Oluyomi, Barakat Bakare, Mosopelolu George, Seun Osiyemi, Rotimi Fashola and Olumide Oluyinka who were not cleared in the first list were renominated by the governor.
But five of those nominated earlier, including Olalekan Fatodun, Solape Hammond, Aramide Adeyoye, Rotimi Ogunwuyi and Folashade Adefisayo did not make the new list.
They were replaced by Afolabi Tajudeen, Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, Tolani Sule-Akibu, Yekini Agbaje, Iyabode Ayoola and Sola Giwa.
