Ghana’s president to chair launch of book on Buhari’s legacies
Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to chair the public presentation and launch of two books on the legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Garba Shehu, presidential spokesperson, made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday.
Shehu said the launch will be held on Friday at the state house conference centre, Abuja.
The books for public presentation are: ‘State of repair: How Muhammadu Buhari tried to transform Nigeria for the better’ authored by Anthony Goldman, former journalist and ex-Africa editor of the Financial Times of London; and ‘The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhar’ by Abu Ibrahim, former representative of southern Katsina senatorial district.
Dignitaries expected at the event include Bola Tinubu, president-elect; Kashim Shettima, vice-president elect, and Babagana Kingibe, former secretary to the government of the federation who is also the chairman, organising committee for the event.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo also recently had a book launch chronicling various aspects of his life and his impact in office.
The book was authored by 25 journalists and writers.
