Grace Adayilo, the first female head of service of the federal capital territory (FCT), is dead.

Adayilo, who was also known as Mama Africa, passed away in the early hours of Monday.

Her death was confirmed by Danladi Jeji, president of the Original Inhabitants Development Association of Abuja (OIDA), who said he was collaborating with her on a project.

“Mama Africa and I were planning to celebrate Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, today, Monday September 1, 2025. Now, our creator has done it for us by calling Mama Africa home to be with the Lord,” Jeji said.
