Gunmen suspected to be militants have attacked Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, and kidnapped six students.

There are reports that the principals of the Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary School were also abducted.

This is the second time in five months that kidnappers will invade the school.

According to Nation, security forces have been deployed to comb surrounding bushes in search for the children.

The gunmen reportedly wrote to the school authorities a week ago, informing them of their visit.

In an earlier attack on the school, gunmen in military camouflages had entered the premises from a hole behind the gate.

They whisked away pupils and teachers.
