RCCG pastor, 14 travellers kidnapped in Oyo
A pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and 14 other travellers have been kidnapped in Oyo state.
The pastor, identified as Olugbenga Olawore, and other passengers of a commercial bus were abducted along Lanlate-Eruwa road on Friday.
Olawore is a pastor at Heavens Gate Parish, RCCG, Lagos Province 73, along Agbara-Lusada Road in Ogun.
The cleric was said to have been returning from Ipapo town where he reportedly went to make burial arrangements for his late mother.
Adewale Osifeso, the Oyo command spokesperson, confirmed the kidnapping to NAN on Sunday.
Osifeso said the command had commenced an investigation into the incident.
“Investigation is in progress. Updates will be provided accordingly,” the police spokesperson was quoted as saying.
