‘Hope of many Nigerians is renewed’ — Betara congratulates Tinubu

Muktar Betara, a member of the house of representatives, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his inauguration.

Tinubu was sworn in on Monday as the 16th democratically elected president of Nigeria.

In a statement congratulating Tinubu, Betara, who is a speakership hopeful, said the president would lead the country to greater heights.

The lawmaker representing Biu/Kwaya Kusar/Bayo/Shani federal constituency of Borno said the hope of many Nigerians has been renewed by Tinubu’s assumption of office.

The lawmaker also congratulated all the governors who took the oath of office.

He urged Nigerians to give the new leaders maximum support to perform and recover the nation towards the path of security, socioeconomic revival, unity and development.

“It is with great joy and a sense of fulfilment that I, Rt. Hon Muktar Betara Aliyu joins fellow compatriots to congratulate our new president, commander in chief, federal republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and the Vice President, His Excellency, Kashim Shettima GCON,” the statement reads.

“Today, the hope of many Nigerians is renewed because of the proven capacity and capabilities of the captain of the ship of state.

“Without a doubt, I believe our nation is heading in the right direction to greater heights. We are assured that a new horizon of greatness is ahead of us as a people and a nation.”

Betara added that if the elected speaker, he would lead a vibrant house of representatives that would align with the aspirations and policies of the federal government.
