Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says he will live the rest of his life serving humanity.

Obasanjo, 84, spoke in Abeokuta at the 20th anniversary of the Communion Faith Assembly and the dedication of its new cathedral.

The former president said the best way to determine a successful life is by measuring the positive impacts a person made on others.

He added that he had chosen “a worthy path” and would not deviate from it.

“I am committed to global peace and service to humanity and I am here to play my part in peacebuilding,” Obasanjo said.

He commended Tunde Akin-Akinsanya, pastor in charge at the church, for his commitment to expanding “God’s kingdom on earth” and enhancing peaceful co-existence in the state.

Akin-Akinsanya is also the chairman of the Ogun chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
