Many tertiary education-seekers who wrote the Computer-Based Test (CBT) of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are angry that they have not been receiving their results two hours after the examinations, as the board promised.

The candidates were responding to a story on TheCable announcing the results of the tests written on Saturday May 17, 2014.

“Please when will Monday’s CBT exam’s result be released?” asked a candidate, whose username on TheCable’s website is Abbeydapo.

“Please we are waiting for Monday’s result,” wrote Ajiya.

Another candidate, who was also waiting for the result, asked: “Why can’t we see our results immediately or 30 minutes after finishing the examination?”

Depeshlt wrote: “Jamb ehn…shey una say result go show within 2hrs…We are still waiting.

“When will Monday’s CBT result be out? I’m tired of waiting,” wrote Marshallar.

Tikkie, Donchester, Krisafam, Benco, and Hollydavy all asked to know when the result of Tuesday’s test would be released, Tikkie writing: “Please I wrote jamb on Tuesday, when is the result going to be out?”

Cbb, another candidate, wrote: “Saturday’s result came out on Monday, so Monday’s own has to come out on Wednesday. But this na Friday we still dey wait ooo.”

Maxwell, also awaiting his result, commended JAMB for “really doing well” but expressed other grievances.

“There is something I don’t like about them [JAMB] concerning the CBT Exam,” he wrote.

“Before registration and even after registration, we were told [that] CBT’s result would be available after 30 minutes, but they didn’t keep their word. Now it’s taking even up till the third day and we have not seen result. Why are they like this?

“Some of us who wrote the exam now worry that JAMB might have been manipulating the results, as they have nothing to do with the marking (the computer has taken care of that itself). Please let information reach them to honour their word! Thanks.”

Queen Fascaa, another curious candidate, wrote: “Can all candidates check the website now? And why is it that JAMB is not sending [text] messages?”

“When is Tuesday’s result coming out now? We are really waiting for it please,” wrote Emy.

But Faith, yet another candidate, suggested that by delaying release of the results. JAMB was manipulating the scores of candidates.

“JAMB! JAMB!! JAMB!!! What’s all this?” he questioned the exam board.

“You promised [that] our result will be out after 3 or 4 hrs. Now, it’s taking more than 2 days. Who knows if you are actually changing the marks? Just get this: I must not score less than 300!”
