Jonathan appoints new PTDF executive secretary

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has appointed Mr. Olufemi Ajayi as the executive secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).

Ajayi, who hails from Ekiti State, was the director-general of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

He replaces Dr. Oluwole Oluleye, also from Ekiti State, who has served as the executive secretary of the PTDF since 2013.

Ajayi, a multi-disciplinary professional biochemist, journalist and international law expert, served as a presidential aide in June 2007.

An experienced civil servant, development communication specialist and public affairs Analyst, Ajayi got his first degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ife in 1981; post-graduate diploma in Journalism from the Times Journalism Institute in 1984; and Master’s in International Law and Diplomacy from the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, Akoka-Lagos.

His appointment is with immediate effect.
