We’ll rescue abducted ACP, says police

The Kaduna state police command has vowed to ensure the release of Emmanuel Adeniyi, assistant commissioner of police in Zamfara state.

Adeniyi was kidnapped on Thursday while driving along Dandume/Birnin Gwari road (Katsina/Kaduna) road on his way back to Gusau, the state capital.

Speaking about this on Friday, Muktar Aliyu, spokesman of the command, said immediately the incident was reported, a crack team of anti-kidnapping squad and patrol vehicles were deployed in the area.

“Our men are on ground day and night to make sure they are all rescued and returned to their families,” he said.

“When the incident was reported we immediately deployed a crack team of anti-kidnapping squad and patrol vehicles to the area, we are going to get them back.”

Adeniyi’s family members were also abducted.
