Gunmen have reportedly killed three persons kidnapped during the recent raid of communities in the Bwari area council of Abuja, TheCable understands.

On January 5, gunmen attacked the home of one Al-Kadriyar and abducted him alongside his six daughters.

During the attack, a relative of the family was killed, while two policemen were shot during a gun duel.

The father of the girls was later released by the gunmen in order to allow him sort out the ransom for the release of his six daughters.

On Sunday, the abductors killed Nabeeha, one of the six sisters, purportedly as a warning to the family for failing to pay the ransom of N60 million.

A source told TheCable that three others, who were kidnapped in other parts of the community, have been killed in captivity.

One Folorunsho Ariyo, a 13-year-old secondary school student, was said to be one of the persons killed by the gunmen.

She was said to have been abducted alongside her mother and three siblings.

Speaking on the incident, Josephine Adeh, police spokesperson in the federal capital territory (FCT), said the Al-Kadriyar sisters were not the only persons abducted by the gunmen during the attack.

“People are just trying to separate the abduction of the six sisters from the others.  There was an abduction in Bwari last week, they are part of the people abducted last week,” Adeh said.

She said the police cannot disclose the measures they are taking in order not to “jeopardise” investigations.
