Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, has approved the full reopening of markets in the state.

Wale Ahmed, the state commissioner for local government and community affairs, broke the news on Tuesday.

Ahmed said both food markets and non-food markets can reopen every day of the week.

To curb the spread of COVID-19, markets in the state were allowed to open on selected days  — Monday, Wednesday and Friday — with strict adherence to social distancing and high level of personal hygiene.
