Morocco have been banned from the 2017 and 2019 editions of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) following their failure to host the 2015 edition.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) also announced a fine of US$1m (£650,000) and another 8m euro (£5.9m) in damages on the country.
Morocco asked for a postponement of the tournament after expressing concerns over the outbreak of the Ebola virus in some part of Africa.
CAF refused and Equatorial Guinea were named a replacement host while Morocco, who had an automatic qualification as host, were expelled from the tournament.
CAF also announced the decision to ban Tunisian football association president Wadie Jary from all their activities after the North African nation failed to apologise for accusing the body of cheating.
Tunisia made the allegations over a controversial penalty in their 2-1 loss to Equatorial Guinea in the quarter-final of the tournament.
Ghana will face Cote d’Ivoire in Sunday’s final.
