The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) component of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) has reportedly killed many fighters loyal to Alhaji Nashama, a notorious terrorist in the region.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication, the terrorists were eliminated by air strikes targeted at Nashama’s enclave in Birnin Magaji LGA of Zamfara state.

A source who spoke with the publication said officers of the OPHD acted on credible intelligence that the terrorists were scheming to attack locals and rustle cattle at Tsamre.

In a related development, air strikes were also conducted by an air component of Operation Hadin Kai on July 25 at a terrorists’ hideout located about 1.5 km east of Arra in Bama LGA of Borno state.
