Newspaper Headlines: Buhari under pressure to reject revised electoral bill

The return of queues in many fuelling stations and the circulation of petrol containing methanol quantities above Nigeria’s specification dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Nation reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is under pressure to reject the revised electoral act amendment bill. The newspaper says the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has added a one-week extension to the registration for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The Punch reports that the federal government may return to the overseas supplier the off-spec petrol. The newspaper says Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo, said the next president of the country must come from the south.
