The outburst of Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers, against Iyorchia Ayu, national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.
Saturday Punch says PDP has been extending an olive branch to Wike to settle the protracted crisis in the party. The newspaper says the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has warned the federal government not to de-register the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over the lingering strike.
