Nigeria drops to 4th in Africa as Belgium leads FIFA rankings

The Super Eagles of Nigeria maintained its 44th position in the latest FIFA world ranking released on Thursday.

In the continent, the three-time African champions dropped a spot down from 3rd to 4th spot.

The Super Eagles lost 14 points from October’s 1441 to 1427.

While the Teranga Lions of Senegal have overtaken the continent’s number one position from Tunisia.

Senegal and Tunisia are ranked 23rd and 26th respectively in the world.

Belgium also maintained its number one spot in the world.

The top ten world rankings is as follows: Belgium (1), France (2), Brazil (3), Croatia (4), England (5), Portugal (6), Uruguay (7), Switzerland (8), Spain (9), Denmark (10).

The next release of the FIFA World Ranking is scheduled for December 20.
