Nigerian artistes topped the list of nominees for the 2nd edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

The award scheduled for October will hold at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters in Dallas, United States (US).

Davido, Wizkid, Flavour and Olamide made the list of best male West Africa, a category dominated by Nigerians.

Nigeria also had the highest nominees in the crossing boundaries with music segment, which  had Wale, Nneka, Asa, Jidenna, Tinnie Tempah and other stars making it big in the international scene.

P-square was nominated for the best African group and artistes, while Kiss Daniel, Korede Bello and Lil Kesh topped the best newcomer category.

Kcee, J Martins, Burna Boy made the best collaboration category, while DJ Jimmy Jatt and DJ Exclusive were included in the category of the best DJ Africa award.

Wizkid’s Ojuelegba, Flavour’s Golibe, Tiwa Savage’s My Darling were listed for the video of the year.

Mavin Records CEO, Don Jazzy, was tipped for the music producer of the year, alongside Shizzi.

The best rap act category had Phyno, Olamide and new Chocolate City CEO, MI Abaga, while the song of the year featured hits like Ojuelegba by Wizkid, Godwin by Korede Bello and Shoki by Lil Kesh ft Olamide and Davido.

Yemi Alade, Wizkid, Flavour and Davido were listed for artiste of the year.
