Nigeria’s junior women national team, Flamingoes, defeated Namibia 4-0 in a qualifying game for the 2016 FIFA U-17 world cup slated for Jordan.

Two goals from the skipper Ajibade Rasheedat and one each from Cynthia Aku and Peace Efih ensured Nigeria travel to Namibia with one leg into the final qualifying stage with a yet-to-be-named team.

Rasheedat put Nigeria in the lead with just 15 minutes gone in the first half, before Aku increased the tally 23 minutes after.

The visitors pressed to reduce the tally before the half-time break but were denied by the Nigerian goalie, Chiamaka Nnadozie, in the 37th minute.

Efih’s strike from 30 yards out shocked their opponents in the 41st minute, sinking the hopes of the Namibians as they prepare to host the Nigerians in Windhoek.

Ajibade’s second came in the second half after series of missed opportunities from both sides.

She put Nigeria four goals ahead on 68 minutes, bringing the game to an end even before the referee’s final blast of the whistle.
