Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, says he is not afraid of losing at the election tribunal, expressing confidence that the state would remain under the Peoples Democratic Power (PDP).

Speaking on Wednesday when members of the Delta state house of assembly paid him a courtesy visit at the government house in Port Harcourt, Wike boasted that he enjoys the support of his people.

He said he was able to win the last election because while his opponents focused on propaganda, he sold his programme to the people.

“We are not worried by the claim of APC that they have the tribunal. All we know is that Rivers state will remain a PDP state,” he said.

“The APC was busy with propaganda because they had excess money but we were able to win because we were with the people at the grassroots.”

The governor said the state has recorded progress since he assumed office, noting that the legislative and judicial arms of government have come alive after years of being comatose.

“The judiciary and the legislature were not working before, but today by the grace of God, the judiciary and legislature are back (in Rivers State),” he said.
