US’ oldest gorilla celebrates 60th birthday

The oldest gorilla, Colo, has celebrated her 60th birthday in the US.
Born on December 22, 1956 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Colo is thought to be the nation’s oldest living gorilla.
She has lived at the Columbus Zoo longer than any other animal and has exceeded her normal life expectancy by more than two decades.

Her name, Colo, is short for her birth city of Columbus.
