Ondo rep dumps PDP for APC
Michael Adeniyi, a member of the house of representatives, has left his party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The lawmwker, who represents Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency in Ondo state, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during plenary on Thursday.
This decision was announced in a letter read by Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house of representatives.
He did not give reasons for the defection which took place less than a month before the elections.
While the national assembly election hold on February 16 alongside the presidential poll, the state governorship and houses of assembly will take place on March 2.
