Fast-rising Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer Patoranking is not one to be shy with the ladies or his love for his numerous female fans. On Thursday in Mzansi, South Africa, he openly declared it.

The Nigerian Entertainment Award winner for Best New Act of the Year 2014 was given the opportunity to interact with his fans in SA, when he took over the Twitter handle of MTN South Africa, @MTNza.

While responding to the various questions, the 24 year-old budding singer admitted that the public would be shocked to learn he doesn’t have a girlfriend, probably because of his growing fame.

Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie (real name) gained prominence with such hits as his debut single Alubarika and Girlie O, the latter of which has a remix released with Mavin Records’ artiste Tiwa Savage in February and May 2014.

Although he is just beginning to gain prominence, Patoranking, who refers to himself as “the next big thing after Bob Marley”, has been releasing singles since May 2012, but his official debut single Alubarika was released in September, 2013.

When asked about challenges he has faced in his music career, the young singer replies: “Not really, apart from the girls that I like a lot”.

He then declared he had no intention of walking any of his ladies down the aisle as he is not ready to be pinned down while he makes his way to the top in the music scene.

Patoranking is yet to release his debut album, which he has revealed will be ready in 2015.
