All is set for the nationwide verification and enrollment exercise for all employees in the service of the Federal Government, who are due to retire between January and December 2015, for payment of their retirement benefits.

The exercise, organised by the National Pension Commission, and holding between May 12, 2014 and June 18, 2014, is for those retiring by virtue of attaining 60 years of age or 35 years in service.

The exercise is scheduled to hold at 14 centres throughout the federation, with dates assigned to each service sector. Affected employees are to personally come along with the original of their documents for sighting, while photocopies of same would be submitted for verification and enrollment.

According to a statement released by the commission, the Pension Desk Officers (PDOs) of each Ministry, Department and Agency (MDA) are also required to be available at the designated centres to authenticate the documents, and endorse the retirement registration forms of each potential retiree from his/her MDA.
