Pernod Ricard Nigeria on the 8th of March, 2024 hosted her female employees and partners to a networking brunch to properly mark and celebrate the global celebration of the International Women’s Day.

The International Women’s Day is a day set aside globally to properly identify, appraise, and celebrate the giant strides women have made across various disciplines and sectors of the world. The day is celebrated worldwide as an affirmation and recognition for women worldwide; an attestation to the immense values women have continued to imprint into the tapestry of the global fabric.

Speaking at the event, Sola Oke, Managing Director, Pernod Ricard Nigeria said, “At Pernod Ricard, diversity is not just a buzz word, it is a catalyst for innovation and growth. By assembling teams comprise of individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences and viewpoints, we unlock a wealth of creativity and insight that propels us forward. Gender diversity is not just a matter of fairness, it is a strategic imperative for organisation success.

Women are a symbol of strength, loyalty, passion, and leadership. These values are key to any society, and that is why Pernod Ricard Nigeria decided to lend their voice to the celebration of women who continue to make this happen, and are constantly charting the path for other women.
The highlights of the day included keynote speeches, games, and networking to promote the camaraderie among women of Pernod Ricard Nigeria amongst other bonding activities that spoke heavily on the roles of women in the world and how they have continued to inspire growth among women.

This year, the focus of the celebration is on the theme: Inspiring Inclusion and this is a great part of the way of business in Pernod Ricard Nigeria.

Speaking to news men, Bodam Taiwo, was quoted saying, “Pernod Ricard is very intentional about inclusivity, not just in words but in actual deed. All of the women in Pernod Ricard are out of the office and we are in this space just to bond, to really understand what inclusion is; to learn a bit more about ourselves and to build ourselves up for the work that we do and our personal lives. You cannot showcase deliberateness for inclusion without making time for the women.
