PHOTOS: Abducted OOU students reunite with their families
Precious Adeyemo and Abiola Oyefule, two students abducted from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) in Ogun state, have been reunited with their family members.
The duo were kidnapped from the Ayetoro campus in Ago Iwoye, Ogun state, on Sunday when gunmen stormed Igbole Aibo quarters.
Dapo Abiodun, governor of the state, had announced their release on Tuesday.
According to a tweet on the official handle of the state government on Wednesday, Tomi Coker, commissioner for health, facilitated the handover of the students to their parents.
“Ogun Hon. Commissioner For Health, Dr Tomi Coker handing over Precious Adeyemo and Abiola Oyefule of Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU who regained their freedom from the hands of kidnappers to their Parents,” a tweet on the official handle of Ogun state government reads.
