Police arrest four suspects for vandalising armoured cables in Lagos
The Lagos police command says its operatives have arrested four suspects for vandalising and stealing armoured cables.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the state’s police spokesperson, in a post on his X handle on Monday, said the four men were arrested along Oba Akran road.
Hundeyin said the vandalised armoured cables were installed by the state government for the smart city light up Lagos project.
“VANDALIZATION AND STEALING: At about 12:25 am, patrol officers from Man Centre Division accosted Oseni Yusuf, Richard Solomon, Emmanuel Ezeobi and Isaac Shedrach along Oba Akran Road while they were vandalising armoured cables installed by the state government for the Smart City Light Up Lagos Project,” Hundeyin wrote.
He added that the police have commenced an investigation.
