The 2021 annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) will commence on Monday.
The convention is scheduled to hold from August 2 till August 8.
The convention, which is an annual event that brings worshippers together at the Redemption Camp from different parts of the world, is one of the three main events of the church — others are the special Holy Ghost service held in March, and the Holy Ghost congress which takes place in December.
Unlike last year’s convention which was held virtually, this edition will only be held virtually for the first two days, after which the Redemption Camp will be open to participants — but under strict COVID-19 protocol.
The theme of the 2021 convention is ‘A New Wave of Glory’, and Enoch Adeboye, general overseer of the RCCG, along with other pastors of the church, are expected to minister at the week-long event.
As in the previous convention, the event will be broadcast live on Dove Television, the official television network of the RCCG.
Speaking on the forthcoming convention, a senior member of the church said the event will feature “miracles, signs and wonders”.
“There will be edifying programmes in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, as in previous conventions, all live on the various electronic platforms,” the church member added.
