The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has warned motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution around the bridge in Ijesha area of the state.

A truck is currently stuck under the bridge, with part of the pedestrian bridge which is located along the Oshodi-Apapa expressway now broken.

According to a video shared by LASTMA on Wednesday, a blue truck appears to have flipped, with its dump box trapped under the bridge.

Speaking on the incident on its official Twitter handle, LASTMA said the “structural integrity” of the bridge has been compromised “greatly”, and warned pedestrians to avoid using it.
