The defence headquarters (DHQ) has issued a Christmas message to the public, stating its preparedness to kill and die for Nigerians.

“On behalf of the officers and men of the Nigerian armed forces, we wish you a merry Christmas. We are prepared to kill and die for you,” it wrote on its Twitter timeline.

The DQH had on Wednesday announced the killing of a suicide bomber in Gombe state, where a bomb blast at a motor park killed 24 people on Monday.

It also disclosed that it arrested two bomb-making experts in Kano, and assured Nigerians of its commitment to ending insurgency in the country.
