Nigeria’s independent online newspaper, TheCable, has announced its partnership with Africa’s first social job site, Insidify.com, to provide free information on millions of job vacancies to readers.
TheCable, which was launched on April 29, 2014 to “to deliver knowledge-driven journalism in the pursuit of Nigeria’s progress”, will provide a portal on its homepage for the job listings – one of the biggest in Africa.
Insidify.com, which works like a Google for jobs, provides a rare combination of professional networking, jobs aggregation and talents on its website.
The vacancies are collated from all major job sites, company career pages, newspapers and classifieds.
Insidify.com also automatically matches professionals with fitting jobs and helps find people within a job seeker’s network who may have any form of connection to the fitting Jobs.
All these are on a purpose-built professional networking platform that furnishes all forms of professional relationships and engagements.
Employers too can post jobs for free, engage professionals through a corporate company page and easily search through a rapidly growing pool of resumes based on almost all criteria.
The CEO of Cable Newspaper Ltd, Mr. Simon Kolawole, described the partnership as “primed to help solve a major problem in Nigeria”.
He said: “When you remember that some youths died while trying to write a recruitment test by the Nigeria Immigration Service, you realise how big a challenge unemployment is in Nigeria.
