The latest incident adds to the worrisome list of the violent attacks on communities in Mangu and Bokkos LGAs of Plateau.

Several villagers were injured while the attackers destroyed many properties.

Some groups in Plateau accused troops of the Nigerian army of shooting at civilians, including vigilantes, during the attack.

However, the Nigerian army said the allegations were “completely unfounded and intended to tarnish” the military’s image.
