The Nigerian Twittersphere  is currently abuzz after the Super Eagles held the Samba Boys of Brazil to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

The international friendly game took place at the Singapore national stadium, Kallang.

Joe Aribo gave the Super Eagles the lead in the 35th minute but Real Madrid’s Casemiro equalised three minute into the second half.

The moment the game ended, quite a number of Nigerians took to social media platforms, especially Twitter, to hail the performance of Super Eagles for playing well against the 5-times world cup winners.

“Nigeria legit played Manchester-city, Barca, PSG, Liverpool, Madrid and they did awesome ?? I’m proud!,” a user wrote.

Overall, a decent showing from @thenff who didn't give too much respect to @CBF_Futebol, but took the game to them.

I hope Uzoho recovers ASAP; but glad to see that we can have a decent cover for him too.

Gerard has to be scratching his head over Aribo.

My take on the #BRANGA game
Joe Aribo was brilliant.
Maduka okoye was relatively okay.
Chukwueze was fantastic.
Onuachu should stop wearing the Nigerian jersey.
Good to see Ramon Azeez.
There's nothing special about the Brazilian team.

This was a good warm up for the boys. Our play was too defensive & not fantastic. We can’t always bank on moments of individual brilliance.
