Udoh, Wema Bank official, appointed Akwa Ibom commissioner of information

Udom Emmanuel, governor of Akwa Ibom state, has appointed Charles Udoh as commissioner of information and strategy.

Until his appointment, Udoh was the head of brand and marketing communications at Wema Bank Plc.

He has had a varied and extensive experience spanning over two decades within the financial services sector.

Udoh started his career as a trainer and consultant at the Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC) and later joined First Bank in 2003. Three years later, he moved to Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), where he rose to the position of group brand manager and head of corporate communications.

He also worked in the corporate communications department of Diamond Bank.

Udoh served as vice-president of the Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks in Nigeria. He is a member of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).

A graduate of University of Uyo, Udoh attended Diamond Hill Primary School, Calabar, West African Peoples’ Institute, Calabar and the School of Art and Science, Uyo.
