While receiving the warship in Calabar, Croos River state, Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, a vice admiral and chief of naval staff, said the NNS Centenary will help the navy improve it’s war on maritime crimes.

“The warship will also enhance Navy’s ability to control the maritime environment as many challenges of the Niger Delta comes from the sea,” he said.
