Chike, the Nigerian singer, has delivered a live performance of his hit song ‘Egwu’ on the Grammys’ show titled ‘Global Spin’.

‘Egwu’ was originally released in December 2023 featuring the late singer Mohbad. The video was also shared online two months later.

In the latest episode of ‘Global Spin’, the Afrobeats star delivers a vibrant live performance of the hit song to celebrate the “joy music brings to the spirit”.

“Cover face like Lagbaja/ Get fila but we no dey cap/ TikTok boys dem tap tap tap/ Pastor do shira ba ba ba/ Omo jo raba ba ba/ Feeling good paran ran/ Music no need permission to enter your spirit/ Anywhere anyhow you no say you go feel me,” he sings.

“Awilo Longomba/ Egwu Chiké ato ka kwa Mohbad mi dikwa bad/ I am living like no other/ Egwu anyi ana kwa ajụ kwa ajụ/ Nya bido bawa gi ime/ I no fit talk am you go know/ Feeling good paran ran.”

‘Global Spin’ is a performance series featuring artistes from around the world where the celebration of the global music community is the focus.

Chike started his music journey in 2015 when he participated in Project Fame.

He then proceeded to The Voice of Nigeria, a music show, in 2016, where he became first runner-up.

Chike signed with Universal Republic the same year but left the music label in 2017.

He would later join Brothers Records. He released his first studio album titled ‘Boo Of The Booless’ in 2020.
